COVID-19 Update

In following with state and local recommendations the PAEC is now open for events at 100% capacity, with masks required for all guests and staff members, including those who are vaccinated. Everybody entering the facility are required to show proof of full vaccination statues, including staff, talent, contractors, and guests. The PAEC will continue to adhere to applicable COVID-19 guidelines and requirements as determined by King County, Washington State, and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. We will remain flexible to adjust standards and protocols as new information becomes available. Updates will be provided as they become available.

Recent Updates

  • As of October 25, people ages 12 and older are required to show proof of full COVID-19 vaccination or a negative test result to enter certain indoor and outdoor events and establishments in King County. Proof of vaccination or negative COVID test within 72 hours will be required for entry into the PAEC. For children under 12 years old, negative tests and vaccines are not required, but masks are. New dates in 2021 have been announced for most of our 2020 events. Prior ticket purchases will be honored at the new dates and no further action is required. Updates to our box office hours can be found on our box office page at this link:

Frequent cleaning/disinfecting routines are followed during event hours, and deep cleaning/disinfecting will take place between event days and events, with a focus on restrooms and high-touch areas.
A mask is required for all guests and employees upon entry to the building. Everybody is required to wear face coverings while in and around the facility, including sidewalks while queueing. Masks will be provided by the PAEC or attendees may provide their own.
Hand sanitizer stations are provided near building entrances, meeting rooms, lobbies, and elevator landings. Restrooms are equipped with touchless faucets and soap dispensers. 
Room sets can be arranged to recommended physical distance of six feet between attendees. The PAEC will work with show management to develop physical distancing plans and administrative controls as set by show management, promoters, or event organizers.
Spectra Food Services are operating at normal capacity. Catering setups and options are determined on an
event-by-event basis. We work with show management, promoters, and event organizers to determine how each meal should be served for event attendees. 
Our Box Office and Ellingson Bar and Cafe have been equipped with no-contact card machines for minimal contact. 
Advance registration of meeting attendees and distribution of badges or event credentials is strongly encouraged.
Public (non-event) access to the building is restricted.
With events,  electronic and/or physical reminders regarding physical distancing and personal hygiene are displayed in the building
Emergency preparedness and response plans will be communicated for potential outbreaks while at the facility.
