The Federal Way Symphony’s Winter Concert will transport listeners from modern-day Federal Way to Vienna in the last half of the 18th century. All the works in this spectacular program were composed during a 40-year period by artists who spent all or part of their creative years in the Austrian capitol.

The Winter Concert also marks the return of the symphony’s “Emerging Artists” series. This program showcases promising young solo artists, many of them performing for the first time with a professional symphony.

Korean-American piano prodigy, Kaitlyn Gia Lee, is a 6th grader in Seattle. A prize winner in 45 piano competitions over the past three years, Kaitlyn most recently won multiple Gold Medals at the 2019 Performance Arts Festival of the Eastside, 2019 Virtuoso Festival, Gold and Silver Medals at the 2019 Chopin Foundation of the United States Piano Competition, 2018 Russian Music Piano Competition. Kaitlyn has performed with the Everett Philharmonic Orchestra, Eastside Symphony of Bellevue and the Mukilteo Orchestra. Kaitlyn also plays the violin in her school orchestra and is a member of her school soccer team.
