Founded in Los Angeles in 2000, TAIKOPROJECT has spent more than two decades redefining what taiko can be. Blending the powerful traditions of Japanese taiko drumming with original compositions, dynamic choreography, and contemporary influences, the ensemble creates performances that are both deeply rooted in history and boldly innovative.

Their groundbreaking approach has earned international acclaim, including becoming the first American taiko group to win the prestigious Tokyo International Taiko Contest. They’ve captivated audiences on stages around the world and appeared on the Academy Awards, the Grammy Awards, The Voice, Jimmy Kimmel Live, and alongside renowned artists including Stevie Wonder, Alicia Keys, John Legend, Peter Gabriel, and Hans Zimmer.
