Ron Podmore’s The Best of Central America

When Federal Way resident, PBS Golden Apple teacher Ron Podmore noticed an influx of undocumented students entering his classroom in 2014, he started to learn more about their culture and reasoning behind their dangerous trek to the United States. With an invitation from one of his students he travelled to learn first-hand about the Central American countries of Guatemala, El Salvador and Honduras. Only what he discovered isn’t what is being presented on the nightly news cycle. Fast forward to today, with over 3 dozen trips to Central America, he’s only getting started with introducing viewers to this corner of the world.
