The Federal Way Performing Arts Foundation (FWPAF) transitioned from its primary purpose of securing funds for the construction of the Performing Arts & Event Center (PAEC) in Federal Way to one of raising funds that support ongoing programs inside the PAEC. In their first year, the Foundation had chosen the Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center and their Arts 4 Youth program as its primary focus for fundraising. The FWPAF surpassed its capital campaign goal by raising over $1,000,000 for the PAEC’s construction in 2017.
As a 501(c)3 non-profit, the FWPAF’s mission is to advance, enhance and enrich performing arts in our community. The Federal Way Performing Arts Foundation looks forward to ensuring that the Performing Arts & Event Center is regarded as a dynamic regional destination anchoring the city center with high quality programs, exceptional service for all and arts education for youth in our community.

Arts 4 Youth:
The Federal Way Performing Arts Foundation supports the Arts 4 Youth program at the Federal Way Performing Arts and Event Center (PAEC). This is a program to bring our local school kids to the PAEC, discounting tickets for qualified schools and bus transportation, for 5 to 7 carefully planned school-day performances presented by traveling shows that have educational content to support state-defined core curriculum subjects. Study guides and materials designed for arts integration are provided prior to the performance and discussion continues when students return to the classroom. 3,000+ students per year attend.
